Day
01 - Arrive at the airport
and be met and greeted by our courteous staff and then be
transferred to Kandalama
en route visiting the renown Pinnawela
Elephant Orphanage to see abandoned baby elephants being fed,
bathed, trained and well taken care of. After spending some
time with these playful baby elephants proceed to the scenic
Kandalama
Hotel, for an overnight stay of leisure at this eco-friendly
Kandalama
Hotel. |

Day
02 - After breakfast
proceed to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa,
to visit our cultural heritage at Polonnaruwa,
the city which rose to fame in the 12th century AD. Ruins
of buildings indicate that a very advanced civilization thrived
in Polonnaruwa and
enjoy a tour of the age-old ruins, while visiting the council
hall, the palace, the temple of Shiva, the watadage (a circular
image house), the sathmahal prasadhaya (a seven storied edifice),
the rock inscription of Nissankamalla and the Gal Vihare where
three sculptured statues of Buddha are found. Furthermore,
many other sites depicting our cultural heritage such as the
Polonnaruwa Statue,
the Ocean of Parakrama, the ruins of the library will also
be visited during this tour. On completion, proceed to Sigiriya
and explore the rock fortress of Kashyapa, which dates back
to the 5th century AD, the ruins of Kashyapa's palace on the
summit of the gigantic rock Sigiriya,
a collection of ancient frescoes and the pleasure gardens.
Proceed to the Kandalama
Hotel for an overnight stay and enjoy the delectable cuisine

Day
03 - After breakfast
proceed to Kandy visiting
en route the historic Dambulla
caves, which dates back to the 1st century BC. The walls of
these caves are covered with ancient frescoes and some of
the oldest statues of Buddha are also found reflecting our
ancient culture. The next stop would be at a spice garden
to see and sample a wide variety of spices. Also en route
visit a batik factory to learn the art of batik painting and
then reach Kandy.
Kandy was the last
stronghold of the Sinhala Kings and was finally handed over
to the British after resisting the Portuguese and the Dutch
for many centuries. It is surrounded by hills and offers a
very pleasant cooling climate. Check-in at the Earl's Regency
Hotel, a pleasing location and inviting as it could possibly
be. Spend an afternoon of leisure, enjoying the regal atmosphere
it conjures. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth
Relic and also witness a cultural show. Return to the Earl's
Regency Hotel for an overnight stay. |

Day
04 - After breakfast
proceed to the central highlands en route visiting a tea estate
/ factory to study the process of tea manufacture which is
world renown. The route to the highlands offers the travelers
some of the finest views of the hill country in Sri Lanka.
Here, enjoy the pure and cool air, perfumed with the fragrance
of cypress and the music of the rippling waterfalls. In the
afternoon explore the hill town of Nuwara
Eliya. Spend an overnight at the Grand Hotel, living another
way of life that remained largely unchanged. |

05 - After breakfast proceed
to Colombo and check-in
at the Taj Samudra Hotel. In the afternoon do a city tour of
Colombo visiting, the
Pettah bazaar, the Fort area, a residential area, a Buddhist
and a Hindu temple, zoological gardens and the city park. Return
to the Taj Samudra Hotel for an overnight stay, in the heart
of the Colombo metropolis
- a city depicting an enriched living experience. |

06 -After enjoying an
exotic holiday in this paradise isle, you will be taken to the
